#Quarantunes: 11:11

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 8 of #Quarantunes, our daily #MusicalEverydays #RobeRecitalsseries. As always, we first want to wish you health, healing and happiness in these difficult times. Can’t believe it’s officially been over a week since the world turned upside down on all of us, but hopefully this series has given you something to get excited for each day. Today’s song is: 11:11! It is the first one in this series that I am doing on the guitar (well, I did Peaceful Afternoon on Saturday during my #togetherathomeextended live concert). If you’ve been wishing for this one, today’s your lucky day! We are trying to post it at exactly 11:11 to stay in tune with the song. Let me know what other songs you’d really love to hear, and as I say in the song, let’s just keep on kickin’ through this cruel world. Continue to #StayHome, stay safe, and we’ll see you again tomorrow for the next #SongADay. ❤️

Set List

00:00 – Millbrook

Liner Notes

#Quarantunes: Millbrook

Hey everyone! Welcome to Day 7 of #Quarantunes, our #MusicalEverydays#RobeRecitals series. Today we return to #MusicalMondays, as if everything was normal, right? Today I wanted to do more of an uptempo song, and today’s song is: Millbrook! For fans of the song and any and all who went to the school, as well as everyone around the world. As always we wish you all the love and health in the world. Let me know what you think of the new robe. Jorn did the filming today as a lot of you missed his creative camera work but there were also a lot who liked the better sound quality. So we decided to alternate as there was not a clear consensus for either. We’ll see you again tomorrow for the next #SongADay! 😘🎶

00:00 – Pretty Things

Liner Notes

#Quarantunes: Pretty Things

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all doing well today. Thanks again so much for tuning into #TogetherAtHomeyesterday, that was truly a special show. Welcome to Day 6 of #Quarantunes, our isolation-edition #MusicalEverydays #RobeRecitalsseries. Today’s song is: Pretty Things! It can feel kind of crazy to still be stuck at home, but we hope that you’re safe and sound with all your loved ones. We’re all still getting used to this new normal, but as I say in the song, this time will pass. Today’s question: I tried filming this differently today, more in the “selfie” style of yesterday’s show. Is the sound better? Do you miss Jorn’s impeccable camera work? Let me know! ✨ We’ll see you again tomorrow for #MusicalMondays and the next #SongADay! ❤️

Set List

00:00 – Dinner at Eight

Liner Notes

#Quarantunes: Dinner at Eight

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 4 of #MusicalEverydays, our daily isolation edition of #MusicalMonday#RobeRecitals. Thank you all so much for such a great response to yesterday’s video – and for your answers to the question! This is now officially Day 1 of #Quarantunes! Today’s song is: Dinner at Eight. It’s a bit of a heavier tune, but I saw quite a number of people ask for it. I wrote it in protest of my dad but over time I feel it has turned into a love song. It is about coming together after a difficult time. Also Friday is a good day to sing this song as certainly that is the prime night for family dinners. How do your family dinners look like these days? This is the time to make them special. Jorn and I do quite a bit of cooking these days. Let me know what songs you’d like to hear next, as there will be many more days of this isolation period! As always, we wish you love, health and healing in these difficult times. And please do take the social distancing seriously. These pictures of filled beaches in Florida and Jorn’s parents are telling us that their squares are full with people hanging out and having a good time. We all want to have a good time but do not risk getting infected or infecting others. Social distancing is about acting as if you are infected. We’ll see you again tomorrow at 10am PDT for a special LIVE #TogetherAtHome concert in support of @GlblCtzn and @WHOfrom our home! Let me know that you’ll be there. ❤️✨

Set List

00:00 – Vibrate

Liner Notes

#MusicalEverydays: Vibrate

Hi everyone! I hope you are staying safe and among people you love. Welcome to Day 3 of #MusicalEverydays! It’s been so nice to spend each day with you as we take #MusicalMonday #RobeRecitals to the next level and bring the joy of music into homes everywhere from ours. Jorn and I went for a nature walk yesterday, stayed far away from people on the walk. I have to say that is one of the beauties of living in LA that nature is so close. It was one of the clearest days in LA I had ever seen and you could see for miles. What struck me is that nature is just completely unimpressed by this virus – it gave me this feeling that ultimately, we will all be fine. But there is a lot of suffering and anguish in between and we have to be grateful for the people who are on the front lines of fighting this virus. Hope that you all out there in big cities are able to keep your sanity and everyone else as well. Try to find the beauty in everything and be grateful for the little things! Today’s song is: Vibrate! Call me in the morning, call me in the night, call me anytime you like. We hope that you’re taking this extra time to keep in touch and connect with any faraway loved ones too. Even if you’ve become distant, times like these are a perfect time to reach out. At the end of the video I ask a question – hope to get some good answers! 😘And don’t worry if your song hasn’t come up yet, there are many more days to go! Continue to stay safe and stay home, we’ll see you tomorrow for the next #SongADay! ❤️🎶

Thank you for such an amazing response to yesterday’s video! It makes my day to hear that I can make yours as well. ❤️Today’s song is The Art Teacher! Feel free to sing along if you Want Two. 😘 I’ve been drawing a lot in this unexpected free time as you’ve seen and I’m excited to show you more too! 03:44 – Grey Gardens

Liner Notes

#MusicalEverydays: Grey Gardens

Hi everyone! In these dire times, I want to share some music with you all from the warmth and comfort of our home in Los Angeles. Hopefully you’re at your homes with your loved ones as well. We have to stay positive and I feel that music and art are a large part of what gets us through times like these. It’s even more essential to be reminded about what it really means to be human: compassionate, caring, creative. From now on, until the end of this isolation, I will record a song a day, so this is officially DAY 1 of #SongADay! We are notching up the #RobeRecitals and #MusicalMondaysto #MusicalEverydays! And today’s song is: Grey Gardens! Sending all our love. Stay safe and please remember, the more we stick to the rules of isolating ourselves, the more we can slow the spread of the virus down. ❤️🎶

Good morning! I hope you and all of your loved ones are doing well today. Today is #musicalmonday, which of course means another #RobeRecital. This song is one of the new ones from the #UnfollowTheRules album, I can’t wait for you to hear it. As you can see I still have to practice these new pieces quite a bit. Do you know what piece I am practicing? The world is kind of a crazy place right now and things will be changing constantly, but I promise you that these songs will find their way to you. Stay tuned for more info! Wishing you health, safety and all the peaceful afternoons. ❤️🎶
